What does the acronym TFFAC stand for?
TFFAC is simply short-hand for "The Food For All Collective."
Are you looking for new members?
Yes! We are an all-volunteer collective, and we are always looking for and in need of new members who share our goals.

Ordering
I have heard that sometimes I may actually get less of an item than I have actually ordered and will receive a refund for the difference. Why is that?
We try to give everyone the exact amount they order, but this is not always possible. We buy in bulk and are consequently forced to order each product in set quantities that often do not match up nicely with the total quantity ordered by our customers. And when that happens, we are forced to give each customer a little less than they have asked for.
An example: A vendor is selling apples in bulk quantities of 25lbs. After tallying up all of the orders, we find that our customers have ordered a total of 55lbs of apples. Because the collective can only purchase apples in 25lb units, it must then purchase 50lbs of apples and reduce each customer's order accordingly, and the customers whose orders have been reduced are issued a refund.
Why do you have to issue a refund? Can't you just credit a person's account for the next order?
This is something we would certainly like to consider for the future, but for now we are trying to keep things as simple as possible, and suffice to say issuing refunds is much simpler than maintaining credit accounts for collective members and/or outside customers. But when this changes, we will let you know.
